Default Smaller SD Card? - 06-04-2009, 07:06 PM

I have a Dell Mini 10v and the SD card sticks out and I would like to make it smaller for better storage. I have a microSD adapter and I am thinking about shrinking it down and then putting a micro sd card in. Ive opened it up and alot of the space is not used so I'm going to try to take about 1cm off it and then get back to you.

Before I do does anyone know of smaller SD cards that won't stick out avaliable to buy?

Thanks

SD cards are a standard size - if they weren't, they'd be impossible to remove from most devices. I have not seen a 10v - are you sure the card is inserted properly?

A RS-MMC card MAY be a better fit for the 10v's card slot, but they have smaller capacities than even microSD cards.

In the end, hacking up a microSD adapter may offer the best results, depending on the skill of the person doing the hacking .
