I will be stopping by a Best Buy today to pickup an external drive that im only going to use to install osx then take it back. what really good expensive drive that bestbuy carries that will for sure work while installing osx on my mini9?

I have no experience with OS X. I'd be surprised if there was a problem with any USB DVD drive, though I'd suggest looking for one which comes with a separate power cord to be used in case the USB port doesn't provide enough power. Use the port nearest the power connector.

Yeah, there's lots of reasons to be sour about it. It's people like you that are driving the prices of electronics through the roof. This is total crap. Grow up. Buy it and keep it like everyone else does.
