Did you read the reviews on this thing? One says it blew out his laptop charger. I would never buy this. I think I'll wait for OEM.

http://www.igo.com/category_adapter.asp

I ran this thread for the mini 9 somewhere on the board. Several people suggested that I just use a cheep inverter. I always thought that unless the inverter is pretty good and a sine wave it was not safe for a computer or delicate piece of equipment. This usually spells expensive.

Igo has three. I think that for many different inspirons the connectors are the same. This is made for computers and also they have tips to charge my other computers and some of my other electronics.

This is the way i intend to go.

Let us know how the Igo goes... I tried emailing them to ask what adapter would work. My only concern is I have a 90 watt Igo and I don't want to give it too much juice.

I am sure some other companies like Targus will soon list the Mini 9

I have a 70w Targus AC/DC power adapter with multiple tips for different laptops and such. Looks like tip # 3 and tip #4 seem to fit the socket, but I know this thing only wants 30-40 watts ... anybody tried this yet?

I found that a standard adapter to plug your 110-120 volt whatever into works best and can be used with a number of different items. I used this same adapter to power a small desktop fan while my truck was parked. Sure helped beat the summer heat and it never blew a fuse on itself or the truck. With proper installation you can have 2500-3500 watts available but I only needed 75 watts so i got a inverter to handle twice that so it would be safe.

Just my Two Cents on the issue.

Mini-9
STEC 8 gig SSD
RAM 2Gig 800Mhz.
WWAN parts in place
Fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Gigabyte b,g & n WiFi card that works
Sony DVD ROM/CD burner in slimline external case
Planned upgrades; 16 gig STEC SSD, Internal Bluetooth and Black Lid
