I was just over at our brand new Target store and saw that they have Eee 900's in black and white, which I couldn't care less about, but they also have a nice selection of quilted cases for them. I wonder if these would fit the I9.

Most of them would probably work, but the eee and the Mini aren't quite the same size, so I'd stay away from any of the neoprene stretch case type ones.

acabtp is right. However, the Acer Aspire One has the same dimensions as the Dell Mini. So if you find a case/sleeve that is made for the Acer Aspire One, it should fit the Mini with no problem.

How are they different?

Actually the Acer is slightly longer than the Mini. And the Mini is slightly longer than the Asus 901.

Size Easy has some comparisons between some of the netbooks here: http://www.sizeasy.com/page/size_com...s-Asus-Eee-901

If the MINI is longer, why wouldn't it fit in a neoprene stretch case made for the Eee?

it's longer in one direction and thinner in another compared to the eee, so it would be stretched one way and loose the other and look funny. best just to get one that's made for the mini if you are going for one of the 'skin tight' ones.

I have my MINI in a case for an eee PC 4G and it fits fine, even though the dimensions aren't quite the same, the reason that it fits well is because the case stretches, why wouldn't that same logic apply?

I'm looking right at the case and it doesn't fit ok, it fits right. These cases are designed to stretch, and aren't designed for as specific dimensions as you seem to believe.
