Default I need a hardcase for my external drive - 04-22-2009, 03:59 PM

Hi all:

I've got a WD Passport 500gig external drive that I'll be keeping in the same bag as my mini for travel. When I travel, there's a lot of stuff int his bag... DSLR, Mini, hard drive, IEM's, mp3 player, etc... I love the size of the Passport, but it feels a little delicate (may not be the case, but jsut because it is so dang small!) I'd like to find a low-profile hard case for it. The semi-hard/neoprene cases on ebay might work, but I'm interested in something that may be a little stronger if it exists. Any ideas? Thanks!

I own three different Passport drives, mostly the older versions. I keep each one in a Case Logic case, which is perfect for them, and can also carry the USB cable inside as well.

Edit to add: This same case can be found on Amazon for a little cheaper ($16.27).

You could look at Nintendo DS Lite cases, too. My WD Passport (one of the slightly older parallelogram-shaped models) is close in size to my DS Lite.

followed your link looking for a case and saw this one:

Kroo? but only 5.29+2.45s/h - not bad if it fits decent for 8$!
