Default Installing External USB Modem - 10-31-2008, 02:19 PM

Morning,
I recieved the two extras I found I needed for the Mini 9.
The cd/dvd drive and the usb modem.
I am now trying to install the modem on Ubuntu. I am on a dialup, local isp.
I get to the debian folder, following the instructions that came with the modem for Linux.
I highlight the folder and click copy, as it says, then it says to paste it. But paste isn't activated. And where would it be pasting anyway? I even opened the folder and tried to do it with just the file 1386 but had the same problem.
I'm totally lost. I should have stuck with plug and play rather than trying to learn something new Thanks, jen

Maybe try posting in the Ubuntu section.

Oh, and poor you for having to put up with dial up!
