Default Apple Mighty Mouse - 03-16-2009, 10:34 PM

Hi All,

I am guessing that the Apple Mighty Mouse (BT version) will work if you install OS X on your mini, right?

Has anyone tried to I/F BT Mighty Mouse with Ubuntu with BT dongle (or internal BT)? Not sure if this is possible, does anyone know?

I can answer your first question - the Mighty Mouse does indeed work with OSX installed. I have used both the BT Mighty Mouse and BT aluminium Apple keyboard with my Mini. That's with my Mini's internal BT (not a BT dongle).

Sorry, can't help with the Ubuntu question though.

Yeah I went out and bought the mighty mouse and wireless apple keyboard. It's amazing and the response is really good. The keyboard doesn't have a delay one bit.

I have OS X on my Mini, and I use the Mighty Mouse everyday with a micro BT USB dongle that I got from Best Buy (cheap Rocketfish one I got with employee discount). It works great, and I can use it when I have a headset and keyboard connected. Reduces stress on my wrists a lot, especially when I'm at my desk.

Sold my Mini 9 for a larger netbook, one that's easier on my wrists and hands.
Current Machine: 2010 MacBook Pro 13", 2.4 GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro x64/OS X 10.6.3

And I play with my girlfriend's Mini 10v ^_^.

Interested in using MATLAB on the Mini 10v? Check out my benchmarks!

Just purchased the Apple Mighty Mouse today at Best Buy (I know, I know, but I had an old Gift Card to use), came home turned on my Hackintoshed Mini 9 and *SLAM* we're in business. Happy I can have a trendy mouse just like everyone else now.

Seriously.
Sorry, but I'll stick with my free Microsoft mice and my Wacom tablet.
The MightyMouse's trackball problems are so widespread I can't believe Apple didn't recall them.
