| Junior Member Posts: 26 Join Date: Apr 2009 | You could also try booting up synaptic package manager, and searching for a TV player. use keywords like "TV", "TV Tuner", "TV Capture card", the name of the TV card maker, etc. EDIT -- did some homework for you. Here's a couple of players that might work. I know there's usually a bunch of optional ones in the repositories: http://www.getmiro.com/download/for-ubuntu/ http://parker1.co.uk/mythtv_ubuntu.php http://tvtime.sourceforge.net/ http://linux.bytesex.org/xawtv/ This will at least give you the player. A lot of times, Synaptics will magically fetch the extra drivers for you too if needed (a dialogue will pop up saying something like "The following packages were also added...yadda yadda version xxx.xxx") ....and on another note........ are you really attached to Hardy Heron? 1 gig ram GMA 950 video |
