Thinking about picking up one of these to keep my iTunes on when I install OS X. It holds an 8GB class 4 Micro SDHC card. What do ya think? I like it because of how small it is.

Yeah, I thought so too I like the fact that it does not protrude out of the case so much. Alot similar to some bluetooth modules.

The thing that I am most curious about is will it hold a bigger card. They sell a 1gb model of that for less than 20bucks. The one listed above is about 60bucks. I am curious if I get that 1gb model and buy another brand of sdhc with bigger capacity if it will work. I can get a 16gb micro sdhc for about 60 more bucks so total would be 80bucks for the 2 pieces. Just wondering if it will accept it??

One more thing I am curious about. If a bigger card would fit and I did get the 16gb. It is only a class 2. Would that be suitable for my iTunes and possibly reading movies from that drive??

Any Micro SD card should work with that reader and yep, class 2 will play music and my 700mb divx movies no problem.

Then I would have to say it is a done deal then. I will pick up the 1gb micro usb and buy the Sandisk 16gb micro sdhc card. 80bucks well spent. Thanks.

They have not even released them here in Japan yet. Should be "middle" December. Soooo, I am assuming it will still be a while before they are released in the US.

List price of about $75 for the 8G model???? I suppose one could buy the 1GB model for about $20 and then add their own MicroSD card, which seems to be what you're recommending.
