Default Xbox 360: Tagging Movies & adding info - 10-12-2009, 05:57 PM

Ok,

Hopefully some of the younger guys out there can answer this question.

I have movies backed up to a networked drive. I can stream movies from the Xbox to the Tv no problem.

Is there any way to add movie info and artwork so it displays on the xbox?

Background info and some operating constraints:

1. I don't use Windows OS. All computers are OSX
2. Movie format is .avi. Some are MP4
3. I don't want to put each movie in a separate folder. I like them all in one place.

Thanks

I am unsure of whether this is possible or not... and how you go about doing it.

What are you using to stream the videos from your Mac to the 360?

Check these links... I did a little research and it seems that the 360 does not show Cover Art of Movies streaming over the network (only locally attached media) :

bm,

Thanks yeah, I pretty much came up with the same thing.

I use connect 360:

Nullriver Software : Products : Connect360

None of my movies are on my computer (over 400 gigs). This program allows me to stream all of them from an external drive (connected to my Airport Base station) through the xbox.

It sure beats Apple TV because it supports more formats, movies don't have to be in iTunes, plus the kids have a console that they can also play video games on.
