Default Is there a tinted screen protector for the mini 9? - 09-28-2009, 10:17 PM

Because I have been looking & cant find any. I use my mini in low light environments & the screen wont dim enough (its still too bright). I need a dark tint that can be removed & put back on easily.

Anyone know of anything like that out there??? Or am I gonna have to go begging for scraps at the local car window tinting place?

3M makes a screen film that fits, but it's a privacy filter. You can also wear a dark pair of sunglasses.

DarkAdapted for Mac and Windows.
For Mac you might also want to search Versiontracker or MacUpdate.

THAT looks promising! I will check it out! Thanks!

Edit:... well. I tried it out and it only dims the display a little bit, but still not enough for my needs. That is.... unless I am using it wrong. Since it takes up 4mb of valuable space.... I think I am better off uninstalling it & going the low-tech way.

Still appreciate the effort, Though.

I can get everything between full brightness and pitch black with DarkAdapted (Mac).
You might want to look for the brightness sliders, preferences, etc...

did you buy yours? Have the "Pro" version? Because I cant find any brightness slider on the free version (for windows). And I,ve scoured the user manual for it.

You're right, it's the Pro version and bought (worth it IMO, both for functionality and quick bugfixes!). The 'Pro' doesn't appear in the app's name, only in the preferences window (could ask for a bug fix...).
