Default Mr brightside.... small,USB LED keyboard illuminator - 09-25-2009, 05:56 AM

I just got mine today...and must admit it works perfectly in low-light conditions on my mini 9 (in the usb spot mid-keyboard on the left side). Cheapest I could find one was on ebay for about $11 shipped.

I'm looking for something like that, but I think that's definitely overpriced.

and I gotta wonder how much light one led can produce in the dark.

That is pretty nifty. One LED will produce a surprising amount of light. You could always purchase 2 and plug one into each side of the Mini.

I like dealextreme.com for gadgets like this. I have these on my desktop keyboards because it has a switch so I can keep it plugged in always but only have the light for when I need it. Many are less than 4 bucks.

Yeah, I agree ...overpriced. I read on an old post in in gizmodo.com that you could buy 3 for $20 mr brightside three for $20 - Google Search That's a little over $6 a piece. (I shoulda done that)

As I sit here in my vehicle at 1:24 am.... it produces enough light to see every key on my keyboard. In fact ...its a tad too bright for me.

The reviews on Amazon aren't kind.

ya, $6 is much better, but I have no use for 3 of them

I've looked on ebay and I dont want a snake light, they look too bulky, like they might get in the way when I'm trying to type. I honestly use my mini mostly for typing. I'm trying to write a book. Keyword trying, I keep restarting, heh

Mr.Brightside looks to be the closest to what I want, but the most I'd spend for one is like $5.
