No such item is available - many have asked. I read that MyDigitalDiscount was looking into finding someone to build one, but I haven't seen it yet. I suggest that you just put the old SSD away for safe-keeping.

There isn't a case, however there is an adapter at USBMA┬*(PCI express mini card to USB adapter) and if you check the compatibility - it will work with pata ssd's - the USBMA modual is $15.00 - check it out -

seniorsun, did your read the page you linked to?

Quote:
Notice:
USBMA is USB passive adapter. Just only support wireless USB minicard. Can’t support PCIe minicard.
All this device does is allow use of USB MiniPCIe cards, such as wireless adapters, using an external USB port. The compatibility chart has X for the SSD entries, except for a product called MP2S which doesn't exist on their site.

I was reading that warning as pertaining to the USBMA which is a wireless device - however I was looking at the USBMA module - which can take the pata ssd to usb - at least that is the way I was looking at it........
Thanks for pointing that out though - there is also an $18.00 handling/shipping charge -

No, it doesn't do that. All it does is pass USB to a MiniPCIe card that uses the USB pins, as wireless cards do.
