Hey This is my first post, but I'm assuming that this isnt a repost. I found the cardboard laptop stand pretty cool looking from greenupgrader.com, but it was way too big, so I modified it for the Dell Mini 9. It works great on mine, I'll post pictures soon. if anyone has any issues with it let me know.

Nice idea, but I have two concerns. One is that it angles the Mini quite severely, and as the display on the Mini 9 doesn't tilt back very far, this will cause the display to be leaning forward. Also, it seems to place the keyboard rather high off the table.

If you were using an external keyboard, it might work well, especially as it elevates the whole Mini.

I made it with the intention to use an external keyboard & monitor, but if you would like it lower, I'd be glad to modify it for you. If there are any special requests let me know. I made it so the screen would be completely horizontal. Also, I like this design because it allows the heat to vent through the back.

It fits the Mini 9 perfectly, maybe a bit small for the 10. The fan can be ignored - it doesn't add any value. It doesn't "clamp" around the 9.

if you use the stand, you will notice considerably lower temperatures.

I agree - elevating the Mini and angling it some will significantly lower temperatures.

Yeah I left it on over night on the stand to install illustrator and photoshop (which happen to run just fine) and the computer was barely warm when i grabbed it in the morning
