Default sdhc slot in my case! - 08-15-2009, 05:37 PM

a while ago i bought one of those reversible sleeves for the mini 9. today, i received my two 16gb sdhc cards. since i can only accommodate one card at at a time, i decided i needed somewhere to put the card that isn't being used. so i needed a little tiny pocket on my case. i asked my grandma to sew a pocket onto the case. 20 minutes later, this is what i have.
(I know its hideously ugly, but i love it.)

It's not hideous at all, and you better give your Grandma a big hug atleast for doing that. I wish I had a Grandma around to do things like that for me!!!!

wont it just fall out if you turned the thing upside down? is it held tight by friction or just hopes and dreams?

it is held in ok by friction. i also now keep the fake back card that came included in there, so it is now a bit tighter. if i keep it upside down and shake vigorously, it might fall. i keep the black side on the inside so you can only see the stiches on the outside. i put the bottom of the a90 on the side where the card slot is, so the top wont get (more) scratched up.

Good thinking. Nice Grandmother.

If you have the clearance, a down and dirty security measure could be a simple safey pin. A nicer alternative would be to take a needle and pass a black (or match the piping color) cord or other suitable material to create a tie, similar to a hooded sheat shirt. In my line of work, we call that "refinement"!
