Yesterday my SAMSUNG SE-084 arrived.
No additional power supply is needed.
With the mini only on USB plug is needed (the Y-cable has 2 plugs for power / data).

how much did you get the samsung? i saw it in microcenter today at $65.

I payed a bit less but in EUR (I'm German)!.
I think 65 USD is a good price.

got one last night because i needed to install xp pro. $59.99 in microcenter (http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0301744) now. it looks nice but i don't know if i need it....

Yes. I bought this drive from NewEgg and used it for my Windows install.
