Default Sleeve/Bag for Mini 10v with 6-Cell Battery - 07-11-2009, 08:42 AM

Hello all,

This is my first post here. I just ordered a Mini 10v from the Dell Outlet yesterday, and I'm looking to get a sleeve and/or bag for it. I realize there's already a thread for Dell Mini sleeves and cases, but the catch is that my Mini 10v will have the 6-cell battery on it, so I'm not sure if it will fit in typical 10.2" netbook sleeves and bags.

I stopped at Best Buy while I was out yesterday, and they have a few Targus bags. I may as well consider their selection, but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on anything by Case Logic, STM, etc.

Do any of you with Mini 10/10v w/6-cell battery have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

I have the Mini-10v with the 6 cell battery and purchased the Targus bag from Best Buy and have been very happy with it.

Here's the link to the bag on their web site:

greetings!

how about a high quality hand crafted bag custom made for your mini right here in portland, oregon? do a search for psyopper on this site, and you'll find pix, and maybe even a discount coupon. i have seen pix of a mini 10v w/6 cell battery on his site. reasonably priced, too!

Thanks for the props! My 10v only has a 3 cell so I replicated a 6 cell by adding a 1" piece of dowel and some velcro to my 3 cell battery...

you bet! you're making the city of columbia sportsware, nike, etc, proud of our next hugely successful sporting goods manufacturer. once i get my 10v functioning properly on osx, you'll hear from me too. i'm thinking something in green that reminds me of all the beautiful trees we have up here. or maybe seahawks colors, if that's available.

you'll have to let me buy you a coffee in lieu of shipping, though

Hi

I also would like to know where I can get a bag/sleeve for my mini10 with the 6 cell battery, but I live in Ireland so I'd be looking for something a bit closer to home?

Cheers

If psyopper ships to Ireland, and you don't mind paying for it, his products are worth every penny in my book. Highly recommended.

All of my international shipping is via Priority Mail International, $15 USD. I don't know how that compares to other places, but the remarks I've gotten have been that it's pretty reasonable in comparison to other places.

I have a few contacts in England, maybe I can convince one of them to make one remotely for you? It would be a transaction between you and them (not me), but I would be happy to see if one is interested in working on it from that direction and getting them the cut list and build plans.
