Hi,
I was wondering how I would go about adding XP to my Dell Mini 10v with OSX already installed. I have my original OSX USB, I partitioned my drive for XP, I have the original XP Disk that came with my dell, and an external disk drive to install from. I'm ready to install but was wondering if there was anything else I'm going to need to do after I install. I've read some of the posts on installing Windows 7 on preexisting OSX, so is the process same for XP? Will it work if I just follow one of those guides? I appreciate any help on the subject, thanks.

I'm having the same problem....bought my dell mini 9 on ebay dualbooting os x 10.6.5 and Windows 7....deleted the windows 7 partition completely and wondering how to create a new partition and install XP via USB Flash drive.....

Boot the XP install and select the "custom" or "advanced" setup - I don't recall exactly what it is called. Then select the unpartitioned space to install into. It is possible that the XP install won't recognize the GUID disk format if that's what the seller used. I generally recommend against buying "pre-hacked" systems as you rarely know what exactly has been done.
