If you read the thread, there's a few users who were able to do it on an EEE (asus?). Cheers. / SL 10.6.6 NBI 0.8.4 Special/ Linux Mint |Please use my Dropbox Invite link: http://db.tt/4z2wwup |

I was thinking you could eject the boot stick once you're in the installer. But now i'm thinking this won't work because the extra folder is on it, and it has the files that patch things so they'll work on your mini. and i'm just not familiar with the OS X istall on the 1018. . . i think though, your best option will be to use a usb hub. stick the boot stick right onto one port on the mini, the hub on the other--with the install stick and the external drive plugged into the hub. you could get a cheap hub for around $10, maybe less. i guess i'm spoiled having 3 ports on the 10v, not to mention the sd slot is bootable on it as well (i know it's not for other models). anyway, GL on your install. and if you can post back on your results, as my experience is only w/ the 10v. it might help others thinking of doing this on your model. ![]() cheers. / SL 10.6.6 NBI 0.8.4 Special/ Linux Mint |Please use my Dropbox Invite link: http://db.tt/4z2wwup | |
