Default Dual boot working - but how do I upgrade from 10.6.0? - 11-26-2010, 10:40 AM

Hello,

Got my 10v working with SL 10.6.0 and W7. Everything works just fine.

What steps should I take to update? The only option through Software Update is a combo update which installs 10.6.5? Will this work from 10.6.0?

I used netbookinstaller 0.8.4 RC1 to get to where I am now. Is it just a case of running it again, and then installing the update to 10.6.5? Is it that simple?

I have searched the forum and found quite a few cases of successes in moving from 10.6.2 to 10.6.4 and from 10.6.4 to 10.6.5. Do I need to upgrade to 10.6.2 first? Then to 10.6.4, then to 10.6.5?

Thanks for helping!

I dont know too much about OSX, but personally I would do it that way, in increments..not straight to 10.6.5

Run the latest NBI201006.... restart and then install the combo update (you don't need to update to older version), restart once again and you will have updated Mac! Windows 7 still works fine, you don't have to repair it.

Thanks pokenguyen. Where can I download that version from? Doesn't appear on the netbook installer site.

The NBI builds are all here. But there's no NBI from June among them; it might have been an intermediate build of 0.8.5, or a late build od 0.8.4. I'm curious about this too.
