Default USB Disk Utility Taking Forever - 04-27-2010, 03:48 AM

Why is restoring a dmg I made of my SL disc to my USB taking what now says 4 hours (initially said 2). It's plugged in the back of my quad core, using a USB 2.0 port. I've done this probably 10 times in my life and 2 of those times, it took 20 minutes. All other 8 times it took an hour, to what now says 4 hours. What is up with that?

I went out for a job interview, ate lunch, took a crunch, and look at the progress bar and time remaining:

Edit: Oh great

Also, I need to install this to an MBR partition. Must I first slipstream the dmg with the proper OSInstall.mpkg or can I do so after it's done imaging to my USB thumbdrive?
