Question Windows 7 hard drive icon on OSX desktop - 03-19-2010, 08:29 AM

So I've got a 10v that I have successfully installed Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and Windows 7. I initially named the Windows 7 partition "W7" when I initially partitioned the hard drive. Once I got both operating systems installed, the Windows 7 hard drive shows up on the desktop in OSX as "Untitled".

I was wondering if I can go ahead and rename it to "Windows 7" without causing any problems on the Windows 7 side.

Any help, info, or feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

yeah you can rename it without issue. however I don't think you have permissions on the mac side. so just boot in windows and right click it to change the name.

So... when I'm in Windows 7, would I basically just change the name of the "C" drive to whatever name I want..? Would that name then also show up on the Mac OSX side instead of "Untitled"...?
