in my constant need to tweak i went out and found some new icons for the osx and win7 partitions sitting on my desktop. changing the mac hd icon was easy, but the win7 one i have no permissions and can only read. is there some kind of really cool workaround to change this icon?  ---------- Post added at 07:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:40 AM ---------- i tried two different things and neither worked. first i plugged in a fat32 thumb drive, changed the icon of it to the one i want for my partition, booted up windows, viewed hidden files and replaced the volumeicon.icns. rebooted in mac and it didn't change the icon. second i installed macfuse as i was told it removed read/write limitations on ntfs. it did not. maybe i'm not using macfuse properly? |

I figured it out... had to install macfuse then you have to install the ntfs-3g extension for macfuse. which allows you to handle ntfs |
