am i correct in assuming that we can use the Retail DVD method as well to install SL as long as we inject the OSInstall file in the right place in the .iso file? thansk for the guide OP. would appreciate a working link to OSInstall file as well.

no wait, the "Mod" step cannot be done without a MAC. so what am i missing if i dont do that step? as you can tell, i am trying to use this guide without having a MAC handy.

If I can't download the mod'd OSinstall file, I assume there is no other way to accomplish this? I almost just installed OSX, but it would be nice to have both, just in case. Any help is really appreciated.

Hi fast83, go for it, I think it would help everyone out! I'll edit the original post to put your link in once you established it.

I never uploaded on these sharing sites before, which is why I didn't do it in the first place, but thanks for offering to do this.
