Just got my 10v. How would I use this method, install 10.60, and upgrade to 10.6.6 with the combo upgrade? Thanks.

I have recently rebuilt my Mini 10v and used this method once again to install 10.6 with XP installed first. Still works a charm.
Upgrading to 10.6.6 I found a bit more tricky, but did managed to do it after a bit of digging around. Check out this other thread:
In particular the post from Kadosh dated 1-11-2011, 04:51 PM was the bit I followed. Which as you can see involves using the 10.6.5 Combo update in conjuction with the special NBI, followed by the 10.6.6 update. Works perfectly.
As ever preparation is key, be sure to read and understand everything thoroughly and be sure to have everything you need at hand, particularly with the initial dual boot installation.
Hope this helps... good luck ;o)

i just did a couple of clean installs on both operating systems and it worked fine from 10.6.0 to 10.6.7.

first i did XP and SL. then i decided to go ahead and upgrade to windows 7 and started from scratch again with a windows 7 setup using this guide. it worked just as well with windows 7 as it did with XP!

I am preparing my 10v for my niece. Can I erase the Mac partition using Disk Utility and reinstall 10.6 without losing the XP and NBI functionality? I want to clear my personal data. I have already erased free space.
