thanks for the help, but i have tried that. i can boot either OS by setting the partition active, but numerous attempts to have netbookmaker install chameleon say that it installs but it doesnt hit it when it comes up. i downloaded chameleon directly and tried all three install methods:
- Install boot0 to the MBR:
sudo fdisk -f boot0 -u -y /dev/rdisk0
- Install boot1h to the partition's bootsector:
sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdisk0s2
- Install boot to the partition's root directory:
sudo cp boot /
ONE of them worked (not sure which one) and the chameleon boot screen came up but the only selection was my SL installation. i couldnt get it to pick up the windows xp partition. in my further attemptd to install chameleon correctly using netbookmaker i wiped it so now im back to where i was, a FAT32 partition with XP on it, a Journaled OSX partition with SL on it, and both boot fine with partition set active. any other ideas?
