| Guru Posts: 1,997 Join Date: Apr 2009 | Dual/triple/etc booting has no direct effect on speed. It just uses hard drive space. Running multiple OSs simultaneously via virtualization will consume more RAM and CPU, thus slowing things down. I think virtualization is unpopular on netbooks, since most netbook CPUs don't support the enhanced virtualization instructions and most netbooks have limited RAM.
