Default Heating 10v, Upgrading bios - 02-16-2010, 11:51 AM

Hi,
I have a mini10v running XP and Snow Leopard.
i downgraded the bios to 04 before installing OSX.
Now the machine gets pretty hot during normal operation, and at dell, they tell you to update the bios to 06.
1. is it safe to upgrade bios to 06 or is it going to screw up my dual boot process?
2. is there anything else to do with the heating?
thanks

You can run the update from your win XP.

After that reboot and press F2 to change the bios settings back to the actual settings.

There is a lot that have to do with the heating. Flash p. e.
