Default How to resize OSX partition in Dual boot - 01-28-2010, 01:54 AM

I recently did an experimental dual boot of OSX and Win 7 on my main computer (M1530) after I had fallen for my 9 and 10v so much. The question I have to ask is how can I shrink my windows 7 partition and expand my OSX partition without reinstalling the whole setup again. I only made the OSX partition 80gb just incase I couldn't get it working it to my liking but all is well.

CampTune for OS X MIGHT work. It's normally used on real Macs with Boot Camp to resize drives. I'm not sure if it's different for Hackintosh, but it's definitely something to look into.

In theory, it should work without a problem, but again, I've never tested this, so, use at your own discretion.

thanks for the input. Are there any other methods for extended a OSX partition and shrinking a Windows 7 partition before I try this one out

I got this program and burned the disk. How did you get it to boot? I cannot get it to boot into the disk either through F12 or by holding the "option" key (I tried Ctrl, I tried Fn, I tried Windows, I tried Alt - none worked). I can't get it to run.

Thanks.

Yes. I am wondering also, how you got it to boot?

In fact, I am wondering if there is a standard way or steps to BOOT any Intel Mac bootable CDs/DVDs with/ or without modifying them? Maybe Boot a certain Disk before booting them?

Yes, that's what Netbook CD Maker does. You boot it first and then you can boot the retail DVD.
