I'm going to install OSX on my 10v as soon as my flash drive gets here. In the future, I was thinking of getting a Zune HD in which case I'd put XP back on. Long story short, how do I do this? Can I just put the XP recovery disc into another computer and burn an iso to a flash drive? or will I need to have an external CD drive? Thanks everyone.

Getting XP onto a flash drive for a bootable install is a bit of a kludge. An external USB CD-ROM is much easier.

Having said that, someone posted this link for a utility that will create a bootable XP flash drive for installation. I haven't tried it myself yet.

Edit: Since my original post I tried using WinToFlash and it was successful, using a generic 2GB USB stick and the original Dell Windows XP w/Service Pack 3 CD-ROM. It boots to a menu that allows you to select either the text mode setup, or the 2nd phase GUI setup.) Creating the bootable stick was painless, the wizard asked for the source and destination drives and nothing else.

here is the utility I used to create a USB install for windows, works great, will work for other OS's also including Win 7....I have had over 400 people download it, no complaints......
