Default Dual Boot OSX with Jolicloud? - 12-11-2009, 12:04 AM

Hey Ive looked at the guides for installing and dual booting but it still confuses me a bit.

I know Jolicloud is a build on Ubuntu but is it any different than the Ubuntu install for dual boot?
Can I install this without a usb drive?
Just create another partition under MS-DOS and install Joli on that?

I don't think it'll be any different for a dual-boot, as long as its installer gives you the option of where to install GRUB (the Linux bootloader).

How would you install it without a USB drive? A external optical drive? That should work fine.

Finally, I think the important questions to answer before installing are: what bootloader do you want to be primary? Chameleon (or whatever the hackintosh setup uses) or GRUB (Linux). And do you need to shrink partitions to make room for another OS?
