I had a successful Win XP & OSX 10.6.1 configuration.
I got a new drive and prepared it as MBR with 3 partitions.
I copied my delivered XP to first partition (NTFS) of a new drive and edited the boot.ini so windows would be happy.
I used netbookCD, but replaced the osinstaller framework with the version that is compatible with MBR.
The final partition is for data that I can share between the OS's.
I got caught with the 10.6.2 vs Atom processor problem, and worked back out of that mess with help from all the info in here. Funny thing is - I seem to rarely use it as a Windows machine. I just tried it now and it won't start up. It hangs on the blue screen with windows logo. I just looked at the drive and see that it's a GUID partitioned drive now.
Did 10.6.2 update do that, or did the NBI 0.8.3 RC4 change the type of drive?
Is there a way to change it back, or do I need to move forward and use gptsync?
Thanks.
