I just put unbuntu on my Dell Mini... It already had XP in there. Does anyone know how to unistall Unbuntu and get the machine back to factory settings? This is driving me crazy...

To uninstall Ubuntu, you need to restore the Windows bootloader (Google "fixmbr"), then delete the Ubuntu partitions (any disk formatting util), then grow the XP partition (a Linux LiveCD/LiveUSB and GParted probably).

Thanks... That did the trick. I bought a Dell Mini 10 and will return it tomorrow. It gave me he'll right out the box. BOD on the very first boot. Dealing with Dell Tech Support is not worth the time. Just sending it back. Got a 10V coming tomorrow.

Anyone know if to do the osx install on the 10v do I need to downgrade the bios from a06?

hi i m using dell inspiron mini netbook with ubuntu 11.04 as the os. i want to remove it and install windows xp. can anyone give me instructions to uninstall ubuntu and install xp. please help
