So I also issued the following commands in step 5: (not sure if it was needed but oh well) #sudo mkdir /mnt/root/bootALSO NOTE: I did not reinstall grub (Step 9)... dunno if it was needed, seeing as when i did the original install of ubuntu I installed grub to /dev/sda4 anyway.
