as the header says..i put my imei number in the carphone warehouse trade in section..and was suprised they're only gonna give me £ 77 for my streak if i were to maybe get another phone.. its not a year old yet..and ive kept it immaculate..with a istyles skin to protect any scratches on the black plastic bevel,a screen protector(not that it needs one),and even a gel case..the trade in on a less than 12 month top of the range smart phone that cost me £430 last july..does seem a bit low...especially what thy offered me for my slightly scratched 3g iphone...go figure

Profit margin. It's always better to sell privately (ebay etc) than use a 'trade in' value.


Speaking of ebay, it's generally the best way to find the 'fair' price - search for 'completed listings' to find what they actually sell for.

FWIW I sold mine for £235 on Ebay less than a month ago, locked to O2 and purchased on day 1.

Trading in just isn't worth it to the consumer, it's the easy way out :P
