Sometimes when I try to unlock it, the screen doesn't respond to touches.


Its pretty retarded that I had to wait for 3 months for the 2.2 update and now I have it, it decides to freeze on me for ten minutes at a time.


The things I've read online say that its because its kept in your pocket and builds up static electricity.

* Try the 'recalibrate screen' thing (I think you have to hold down certain keys when rebooting)

* You don't have a case?!? If not, I'd recommend getting one... that's a big piece of glass you are carrying around, it would be a shame if it shattered!

I have an otterbox commuter case that is on it half the time (like when I'm at work or doing some serious outdoors stuff.

after I downloaded the 2.2 rom and it did'nt act to kewl, I simply went to settings-privacy and did a hard re-set, its then that everything came up working fantastic.

Static, heat and humidity affect the screen, keeping the phone in a pocket unprotected by a case will affect it. (especially if you wear one of those nylon shell suits. joking, honest )

ITS A TABLET / SMARTPHONE, THE LAST PLACE IT SHOULD BE IS IN YOUR POCKET!! That is unless you want to damage the phone and fry your gonads at the same time . (little considered issue, keeping the phone in your trouser / pants pocket reduces the signal it receives, the phone then increases transmission power to keep in contact with the network. This iradiates your nuts, oh, and reduces battery life)

It should be ok in an outer jacket pocket, cooler and further from your body.

A hard reset and screen calibration seems to have fixed it for now.

I absolutely refuse to wear a belt holster :P

Been keeping phones in my pocket for about 10 years and my balls still work just fine

THIS IS NOT SCREEN PROBLEM..IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SCREEN ..BECAUSE YOUR UNLOCK SLIDER WILL WORK , IF U KEEP PRESSING BACK BUTTON FOR 3 SECS OR MORE...PHONE WILL VIBRATE , THEN TRY...

I M ALSO EXPERIENCING SAME PROBLEM

MY TOUCH DOSENT RESPOND SOMETIMES WHEN I TRY T UNLOCK..HOWEVER , SOUND ON/OFF TOUCH WORKS FINE..

FOR EX: I PRESSED POWER BUTTON TO UNLOCK , SCREEN LIGHTS UP..BUT SOMETIMES , UNLOCK SLIDER DOSENT WORK..BUT SOUND SLIDER WORKS FINE AT SAME TIME....

I HAVE FOUND SOLUTION IS:
1. KEEP PRESSING BACK BUTTON FOR 2-3 SECS , PHONE WILL VIBRATE , THEN UNLOCK SLIDER WILL WORK...
2. PRESS POWER BUTTON AGAIN AND LOCK IT..THEN AGAIN UNLOCK IT.UNLOCK SLIDER WILL WORK...again no screen issue..because other slider works fine

ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM?
ITS VERY ANNOYING...

You may want to check your keyboard - is the shift or caps lock key stuck?.
