The sim card works fine in an iPhone, I'm starting to think this might be a hardware problem
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Take a pencil eraser, a soft one, and rub it over the sim contacts. This cleans them up and makes the electrical contact better. Works well on debit/credit cards too. It shouldn't be necesary to clean the contacts in the streak as they self clean when the sim is inserted and removed.
If the sim works in the iphone but not in the streak it's likely the streak is faulty. As all streaks are less than a year old you could possibly pursue Dell for a fix. I don't know if the Warranty is transferrable but it's worth a shot.
Of course there is one final possibility the phone has been stolen and blocked that would give you the no service message. To check call O2 give them the IMEI number and they'll tell you (Hope you used paypal). It is illegal to unblock a phone in this condition, not that I've found anyone with the tools to do this on a streak yet anyway.
