Anybody tell me why my streak now attaches to my PC as a Dell Mini 5 and not a Dell Streak?

This is of course other than O2 have taken an update from lord knows where and screwed around with it before sending it out to an unsuspecting world.

Probably the only valid answer. I wish they'd release the source code I'm sure someone would actually work on a decent Dell Streak build.

It's very clear from some of the posts both here and on Modaco that there are many talented individuals out there who could make the streak work. Unfortunately the prospect of Dell or O2 agreeing to the Streak becoming an open platform is a tad unlikely.

What I'm beginning to get incredibly annoyed about is the total lack of an official apology and a resolution.

Another thing that popped up yesterday, on reinstalling Mybackup it stated that my phone is now Rooted???????? how'd that happen with an official release??
