I am being impatient on one hand for the update but on the other hand I am thinking that I should wait for a couple of days and see how this update is received by others and then update.

Using the Streak as a mob phone under 1.6 was very hard. As soon as you pick it up to answer, the screen goes black and before you have time to press buttons or work out how to get the screen back the call has gone to vmail. I reckon I only managed to answer 10% of calls successfully.

Under 2.1 it behaves altho I have also now increased the ring time from 15 seconds to 25 seconds which gives you a decent amount of time to get the Streak out of my pocket, out of its case and answer the call.

As for updating, the leaked 2.1 update is technically older so it should overwrite just fine.
You may have to manually update though as the leaked update changes the update server, but at worst you should just be able to just navigate to the update file on your Streak and it will do the rest.

I'll be posting the QR code of the update link as soon as we get it, so be sure to have the barcode scanner installed already!

Another forum member (mancterrier) posted method for reverting to original system update url -

c/o/ fards from modaco:
Go to your phone dialler type *#*#307#*#*
It will go black screen with emlist on top. press home button if it doesn't clear.
Press launcher select emlist.
Scroll down to NV, choose ota server

To get rid of the engineering mode, go back to dialer. And type *#*#308#*#*

I have my unofficial 2.1 set back to original update url now.

Hope front facing camera will start working again and that Skype arrives on android soon.

I was in the o2 near me this morning asking about the OTA when i was in there exchanging my Streak for a new one and the lad behind the counter said it will be done to today.

Still thinking it'll be tomorrow though.

I bet it won't be here until tomorrow, i also doubt if we hit 5PM and nothing that it will come any later, i bet the people dealing with it are on normal office hours.

I would like it to make the actually dialer on my phone work properly, 2.1 has a hissy fit when i have calls/make calls with the screen going on and off and that.
