I am new to this forum and considering a Dell Streak. This are the things I want to do with it:
-Install Co-Pilot for GPS Navigation
-Unlock It And Use T-Mobile SIM card
-Buy A Dell Car Dock Kit for Vehicle Use
-Install the Slacker Radio Application
Anyway, I am wondering if anybody here that has Co-Pilot can comment how well it works compared to a Garmin GPS. Also, since this is designed for AT&T rather than T-Mobile, can it get A-GPS assistance from the T-Mobile network or would that only be possible when on AT&T?
I assume if I get this unlocked and use a T-Mobile SIM card that I will not get 3G data. If I have another smartphone, could I tether it to the Streak to get 3G data?
Is the car dock well built and does it hold the Streak securely?
Has anybody here installed the Slacker Radio application on the Dell Streak? I am assuming that since this device will multi-task, I could use this as a vehicle GPS and listen to Slacker Radio and it would interrupt to give turn by turn directions.
I am thinking that this may be a very handy device for traveling. I could use it as a GPS and entertainment device in the vehicle, take photographs during the trip as desired, surf the web during meal stops at wifi equipped restaurants, or even play a movie for my sons in the back seat when not using it as a GPS.
