Has anyone got Dell PC Suite to work under 2.1 ?

Will it need a new version of the PC Suite to fix it or is it a bug in 2.1. ?

The big downside for me at the moment is that DELL PC Suite does not work with 2.1.

I need to sync with my Outlook Contacts (over 1000) and Calendar on a very regular basis for my day to day business so manually copying contacts is not an option.

I've also found there is no longer an option to mark email folders as already 'read' under 2.1.

Judging by post over on Modaco this seems like a common problem. I suspect that we may need to wait for the official 2.1 release (and maybe an updated PC suite at the same time) to solve this problem.

I had the same problem with the PC Suite but have managed to find a work around regarding the contacts...

From the contacts, if you access the options, there is an Import/Export option that will allow you to access either your SIM or your SD Card. The format it looks for is a vcard.

So simply, browse to your contacts folder or using Outlook (or similar) export your contacts as vcards and save to a new contacts folder. Transfer this to your SD Card and then search for contacts via the Import/Export feature - done

I'm using Outlook 2003 which doesn't give you the option to export as a vacrd.

This is what I did.

1) Plug in Streak
2) Click on the USB icon in the notification area of the Streak and choose mount (to allow copying of files).
30 Browse to the memory card of the Streak using Windows Explorer and create a folder called vcard_contacts.
4) Go to contacts in Outlook and select All (Edit > Select All)
5) Actions > Forward vCard
6) This put all the contacts in an email message
7) File > Save Attachments
8) Navigate to the vcard_contacts folder created earlier and click OK.
9) Unplug Streak from PC
10) Menu > Import/Export > Import fron SD Card
11) Choose your email account or PC Sybc (I choose my Gmail account)
12) It then looks for all your vcards and gives you some options (Import one vCard, Import Multiple vCards or Import all vCards)
13) I chose all.

Not ideal but as CptLucifer says, it's a work around.

If you sync with your gmail contacts I guess you don't have this problem.
