Default Streak for US T-Mobile? - 07-21-2010, 10:27 PM

Just wondering if anyone knows which radio freqs the Streak supports? I am hoping I can buy an unlocked Streak for use on T-Mobile here in the US.

I thought I saw a list of supported freq on dells site a while a go, but cannot find it now. Perhaps someone saved this page?

Anyways, this looks like the first viable android phone upgrade for me on TMO since the G1. TMO really has dropped the ball in the hardware department.

According to endgadget "850 / 1900MHz 3G for use on AT&T, Rogers, Bell, and Telus"

Or this from Expansys

"Bands :
- UMTS 2100 / 900 MHz
- GSM / EDGE 1900 / 1800 / 900 / 850 MHz"

Make of that what you will... it means nothing to me...

I'm so glad we don't have those issues in the UK... here you just buy a phone and it works on any network (providing it's unlocked of course)

Well that's a bummer! I believe T-Mobile 3G uses 1700/2100 here in the US.

I did find a lot of speculation on the web that there is a T-Mobile version on the way as well, but who knows when that will come.....
