I just bought a second hand UK Dell Streak with the following spec:

Ver: 2.2.2
Kernel 2.6.32.9-perf
OEM Version: GAUSB1A135100
Build 15609
Carrier: unlocked

The streak is sometimes behaving rather strangely and I'd just like to take it back to stock firmware and apps so I can start with a clean slate,
Can anyone tell me if what I have is stock firmware?

Also, where can I get the latest firmware and instructions on how to take it back to stock?

You have stock firmware. The current version of the firmware is 360 and can be downloaded here. Instructions on how to flash a ROM are here.

If you wish to root the Streak, there are instructions here. What those instructions don't adequately explain is that you must not let the phone boot after installing the custom recovery needed to root. You have to immediately enter recovery mode and from there flash the zip provided in that thread.

I chickened out of re-flashing it and am using ADW launcher in portrait mode and I'm really surprised how smooth and sexy the Streak works now. It's just so much better than using Dell Stage!
