Default Excessive current causing flat battery - 01-12-2011, 11:42 AM

I had a strange problem with my Streak (2.2) yesterday. When I went to use it the battery was completely flat and the unit was quite warm, indicating that it been drawing excessive current. When I'd used it a couple of hours previously, the battery had plenty of charge in it. I removed the battery, replaced it and put it on charge. It's been OK since.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Only when an application goes haywire, just like with any computer app that thrashes cpu and hangs instead of closing or shutting cleanly -a symptom not easily noticed on the phone. Basically any heavy duty work of a cpu or gpu will have that affect.
