Great though it is to finally get the official update, I thought I jump in and start a log of the problems and issues observed in the 8105 build.

So far for me:

Bugs

• Facebook Contact Sync doesn't work.
• Picasa Sync doesn't work
• Dell PC Suite still not connecting. [FIXED]
• Dell PC Suite doesn't backup properly (file size 0 bytes)
• After backup the Streak doesn't leave the "backing up" state and has to be rebooted.
• Laggy scrolling in widget menu
• Accelerometer is back-to-front in some applications eg Doodle Jump
• Wallpapers are stretched (the crop selection is a square, the destination is rectangle)
• Re-arranging/moving application shortcuts on the top row of the applications menu causes a soft'ish re-boot (O2 logo then lock screen).
• Live-Wallpaper selection will not switch to portrait orientation.
• Screen sometimes stays off during incoming call (proximity sensor?)
• Volume Controls fixed to portrait settings (possibly intended)
• Touch Buttons flash randomly after updating for some people.
• When the HDMI dock is connected to a power outlet a notification pops up asking you "Would you want to turn off the speaker of device?"
• In the camera, when using a scene mode other than "auto", only the first picture will be saved to the gallery. (thread)
• App Market will not automatically check for updates

Needs Tweaking

• Widget/Icon horizontal spacing still too wide
• Camera Settings tray hard to pull out
• Keyboard sensitivity/layout (apostrophe hidden)
• When switching to "automatic brightness" the brightness button should disappear from power widget (did in 1.6)
• Cannot see if page is loading without scrolling to top in Browser
• Status bar overlaps search box in maps

Dropped from 1.6

• No front-facing camera option in camera app
• Cannot add/remove homescreens
• Can no longer play .wma files
• Native Facebook/Twitter Widgets (nice wide ones that show multiple updates)
• Browser Thumbnail Overview

I don't use Facebook contact and Dell PC Suite.
But, I have the same issue for the laggy scrolling in widget menu.
I will test the network driver this night and compare with the previous version.

Why put out a buggy update? All the same syncing problems- atleast the "leaked" version allowed for syncing of accounts.

Anyone who's running the leaked version dont bother upgrading until dell sort their update out.

still no arrow keys on the keyboard... touch screen is just not accurate enough for editing text..

Try a screen calibration, it helped me a lot a couple of weeks back.

Issues:
Widget/Icon horizontal spacing still to wide for my taste.
Forced to have 5 home screens - and all with the same background AND you can no longer skip to them quickly via the O2 bar

I'm sure I'll find more as I play with it!!

I'm having all the same issues and I'm not impressed with this new keyboard layout, it was nicer with the separate number pad on the side.
