Thanks steve, iv just read it. i found something very similar to that on another forum last night.
If i go back into the o2 shop again for the 5th time, they will just send the device off to dell they said and who knows how long it'll be there for. Not very good when ill still be paying Â£30 a month for it still. If i went back into the shop and tried to get them to look into it again..................... well theres no point really, cos the "guru" didnt even know and all the staff gave me a vacant look as if to say "why do u keep asking, we don't know". Well, someone somewhere/a team of people, have designed, created, analysed and tested network communications with the streak and o2, that works for o2 and dell, so if they tried to find out hard enough i'm sure they will be able to find out. Thing is that if mine doesn't receive all texts there will be others as well. Even my last streak didnt (this is a replacement) which is in theory the equivilant of two seperate customers phones if u know what i mean
Im sure i know more about this phone now than them, as will everyone else reading this thread.
I think im going to ring o2 customer support again because the guy seemed quite helpful although none of their tech guys had heard of the problem yet. I will mention how would i update the prl, although would this not be something that dell would advise me on?
I'll make some enquiries and update things on here.
