Mines just done it again - 07-12-2010, 07:37 PM
?? Mines just started doing it again so it looks like it wasn't double twist? But something stopped it working again
Factory reset and still no sound How long do I get for a replacement if I go back to carphonewarehouse, love the phone but a bit gutted now as never had these problems before and this could be my third in 2 and half weeks !!
It is Now OK, after another reboot and then played a song from my sd card and now have volume back ???, is a quick fix just playing a song or do I have a faulty unit ??
It went again so went back to the shop and it started working again, spent a good 10 minutes with them before they would swap it :0 But now on my third..... Third time lucky

I had the same problem with my New Dell Streak - no sound at all via the built in speaker when making and receiving calls.
The other party on the call could however hear me.
Sound was fine when speaker activated or when the supplied earphone/mic was connected.
I phoned O2 to trouble shoot/fix and the girl on the other end could not help other than to send out a replacement.
Courier company (DPD) were numpties but finally got my replacement 5 days later - have to say the back-up/restore software worked a treat, once restore was run new phone was 100% as the old one was down to musoic collection, pics and videos, even text messages and call history, well impressed!
That said 2 days after receiving my replacement the screen goes haywire on the new one, only the centre of the screen is responsive, all around the edges of the screen are non-responsive meaning you cannot access simple things like the Notifications bar and other shortcuts along the top, some numbers when trying to dial, and as for any shortcuts stored around the edges, forget about accessing them!!
Called O2 again, once again they could not 'troubleshoot' to fix only offer yet another replacement which I accepted as a solution (at the end of the day I love the phone/tablet, just want a working one!)
So today I received my next replacement but to my horror it's a refurb!!
Physically it seems and looks fine but I didn't get into an expensive contract with O2 for a working 'refurd' which was returned for god knows what reason and repaired, I believe I'm entitled to a new phone - one very cross call to O2 is called for me thinks, will post the outcome in due corse.
