It might just be a problem with the charger. You could try connecting it to a PC via USB, it can be charged that way.

Sounds like somethings pooped.

If you've done a lot to your streak and don't want to lose contacts/apps etc, look for the "MyBackup Pro" app, it costs about £3.50 but allows online backup so you could restore everything pretty quickly - that's if you have enough charge to last you!

I've had a similar problem - the charging symbol keeps flickering on and off and if left plugged into the charger for any length of time the charge actually goes down. I've tried plugging it into a laptop and it's the same so it is either the phone or the cable.

(I can't help but wonder if the design of their proprietory connector is to blame - a mini USB would have been much better.)

Called O2 - because it's under 28 days since purchase they will send out a brand new unit, which I've agreed to.

Hopefully no more problems - I'd hate to go back to a 'normal' phone.

I'm glad it 28 days that they will swap a phone out.

I may hang on to mine for a bit longer before going to swap it (want a red one).

Exchanged this morning they think it was the charging lead as they tried it on their display unit and that went a bit funny as in it would not stop vibrating for 10 min so they exchange for a new phone and lead to be on the safe side. Phone now charging.

Glad to hear it's sorted.

I took my original Streak into CPWH as it had a dead pixel, and they wanted to send it off for repair! I demanded a refund there and then and went off to O2.

I've had my Streak for 3 days now and usually top up charge via usb to pc during the day if it needs it, but at night I put it on a full mains charge, having said that I noticed last night that the mains plug charger had stopped working, so i'm back to usb charging only, at a guess I would say there maybe a fault with the mains plug adapters, as a few people on other forums are also experiencing this same problem.

Kind Regards
Jas...

I've glued my 2-part mains plug together as pulling the usb connector out the bottom has the effect of slightly opening up the charger parts. I put that down to why mine stopped charging.
