mine's now stopped charging, either from the mains plug or via USB - in the latter the streak doesn't detect the link. I've tried re-connecting, turning off, removing and replacing the battery, all to no avail.

mark

Until you have time to return it.

I had a similar thing happen with my BB Storm.

Try leaving the battery out for 30 mins to let any residual charge go out.

Then try again.

I know someone mentioned this before. Took it back and O2 got out a charger & cable from another box and all was well.

Had same problem.
It's probally to do with the back panel.
It has really got to be secured correctly as it creates the connection.
If you move/slide the back panel slightly the phone will shut down and not charge up.
Do not dent your back panel as this will stop the phone from powering up.
If the phone does not work.
Remove panel clean out compartment and battery along with the connectors and put back together ensuring you gently but firmly fix the cover into its correct position.

Copy your SD card from the phone onto a pc so you have all your apps and the phone instruction guide just in case things goe pear shaped.

Also as the phone as as durable as a raw egg you should never carry it around unless you got a decent case. The only decent case i have found is the one built specifically for it sold online from carphone warehouse, which I would 100% recommend as its sturdy and looks real nice and is really practical. As for the bag you get with the phone thats about as useful as perforated condom.

I've already got a 2nd charger from Dell, neither work. As I bought on-line I'll have to wait for O2 to get back to me.......

**EDIT** door-step swap tomorrow. I call that good service.

Hrm, I think Engadget would tell you otherwise. I've been carrying my phone around without a case in my pocket for a while now and i've not had a single issue.

Same here. I make sure that I don't have anything else in my pocket that might scratch it, like keys and coins. I'm more concerned about the plastic body and rear cover, than the glass.

I have ordered one of the £12.49 Carphone Warehouse cases, though. It might give it some protection if I drop it.

Make sure that you are putting the back on correctly.

At angle put the bottom of the back where the speaker is.

Put back down on to phone.

Slide up.
