Default Fast Reboot - 06-25-2011, 06:11 AM

Do you have problems getting Gallery to sometimes load, and have to keep trying it to get it to load?

Do you sometimes find that when you go to play a video, only the audio plays?

All very annoying, especially when you are on a bus and trying to impress .....

Well, "Fast Reboot" may be your salvation. I downloaded it, but will wait until I have a problem before trying it out.

But, there are a good number of happy campers out there with this App. and they say it can free up problems in 3 seconds. How much faster is that than having to turn off your Streak and rebooting. That takes about half a suburb on a bus.

Without further a-do ....here is "Fast Reboot"

https://market.android.com/details?i...ing_free&pli=1

Quickly "reboot" your phone to free up memory! Does NOT require root!TRY THE PRO VERSION, WHICH COMES WITH THE OPTION TO AUTOMATICALLY PERFORM FAST REBOOTS AND LETS YOU MANUALLY EXCLUDE APPS!
Simulates a reboot by closing/restarting all core and user processes and thus frees up memory. Your phone should be much snappier after using Fast Reboot.
DOES NOT ACTUALLY REBOOT YOUR PHONE, only the apps & processes. Does NOT require root.

Red face Fast Reboot - 06-25-2011, 12:52 PM

I had occasion to try this App. out, when after playing around with various other things on the phone, a YouTube video in Gallery would not play the video, just the audio.

I merely went to the new App. and it displayed all the items it would "clear" (if that is what it does), and instantly, and I mean instantly, we were back to the live wall paper and the App. indicator button that is usually at the bottom of the Dell Stage.

Went back to Gallery, and the video played straight off.

So, go get yourself a "Fast Reboot" App. - and note that most, if not all others are for rooted phones (why not leave well enough alone?) or they are pay Apps.

But "Fast Reboot" is free, and works well on the Streak.

HOWEVER, it doesn't always get Gallery to open and show the contents, at least the first time. But is still worth having.

* If you quickly want to play a video from Gallery in the instance of it not presenting contents, then go straight to your "Mobo Player" app, point it to the right directory via the contents it will display, and you will be able to play your video immediately, even if the other player won't co-operate - no questions asked.

So, yes, "Fast Reboot" can be useful, and "Mobo Player" is also well worth having as your stand by video player, - with full gesture functionality the standard player doesn't have.
